The villa
A house to settle into
Villa 235 is a Margaux Deluxe of 160 m², the most beautiful villa in the park. Room for eight, or two families together.
Inside
The ground floor holds the living room with a fireplace, an open kitchen with island and built-in appliances, and the master bedroom with its own bathroom. From the living room you step straight onto the covered terrace, with loungers and a long table. The garden wraps around it, safe for children. There is also a large locked storage room with a dryer, where you keep your own linen, clothes and special wines under lock, even when the villa is let. Upstairs there are three bedrooms: one with its own bathroom, the other two share one. The private pool is heated and open from late April to late September.
On the estate
Résidence du Château de Salles sits on an old château estate, just south of Bordeaux. Villa 235 sits at the edge of the forest, close to the park entrance and within walking distance of the main facilities: the pools, the tennis courts, the gym and the restaurant. The garden is angled to catch both sun and shade throughout the day, and an automatic irrigation system tends the lawn and flower beds even when you are not there. Tall trees surround the plot, give shade and keep it cool, while keeping you fully private. The village of Salles is five hundred metres away and has more than you would expect from a holiday spot: several bakers, a market twice a week, cafés, a cinema, a supermarket, a pharmacy, a bank and a notary. For the big shop, the modern supermarket in Mios is a few minutes away. The Eyre runs close by, where you can paddle downstream by canoe in high season, bookable at Canoë Passion Salles, less than two kilometres away.
